In this enchanting blend of fantasy and science fiction, a young hunter navigates a universe where energy is drawn from the soundscape. As someone who experiences sound in his own way, he once struggled with feeling out of place among his peers. Encouraged by my editor, Yuan, I wrote and refined the script over the summer, drawing inspiration from my volunteering experience at a speech rehab school a decade earlier, and from my more recent journey as a deaf person who experienced the joys and challenges of transitioning from a hearing aid to a cochlear implant, allowing me to hear the world again.
