It has long been a scientific and philosophical puzzle of how the various life forms on Earth first appeared through some miraculous process. Welcome to my naive interpretation of abiogenesis, the origin of life, at age 14, shown in this flash animation made with my friend Songyun. Intrigued by the Miller–Urey experiment, the RNA world hypothesis, and the Darwinian theory of evolution but lacking a detailed understanding of chemistry, I imagined the possibility of our alien friend synthesizing molecular precursors to primordial life forms and spectating the process. They then took some samples and left; maybe they’d be back someday?
